A New Year’s Resolution You Should Keep

Happy New Year! I can’t believe 2017 is gone, I also can’t believe that I haven’t written a post in so long. I have been quite busy over the past few months. But I am going to try really hard to keep consistent this year, you could call it a resolution of sorts.
There is a trend that I have been noticing over the last few years that I am hoping to get people to stop doing in 2018. And that my Sassy Followers, is procrastinating. I know we all do it, I do it. But there are somethings that we should not procrastinate on and one of those things is Legal Issues.
I understand the fear and dread that comes with a legal case, but waiting to the last minute only makes those feelings worse. It never fails. When I check out for the holiday season in December I still get these panicked emails/phone calls from people needing help either right before Christmas or right after. I’m not available and guess what? Most other attorneys are not either. Now these are never cases that just popped up. No. They are cases that people have been putting off.
And it is not just the holidays. I get contacted all throughout the year for representation at a trial or hearing that is days away. In most cases people have had months or at least weeks to seek help but wait until days before.
I can’t help you if I don’t have the appropriate amount of time to prepare. You are not doing yourself any favors. So help yourself, call a lawyer, go to a legal clinic, get some help. Even if you think you cannot afford it, you may be surprised. Don’t wait these issues can have long term effects on your life. Seek help sooner rather than later.
